Drama Competition: All Hail The Champions!

Falomo Senior High School, Ikoyi has done it again.

The school represented the Education District III at the 2013 Tree Planting Docu-Drama Competition organized by the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency and won the second prize.

The Vice Principal (Academic), Mr. S.O.Kazeem, wrote the play (entitled ME AND MY TREE) and also directed it.

The cast and crew spent two weeks in preparation for the staging of the play which was declared the  play of the competition.

The judges commented on the reason for the position of the school in the competition - "large of costumes."

Commenting, Mr. Kazeem said "We thank God for making us win the second position. All our efforts have not been wasted. We denied ourselves the time to go to the classes for our lessons and we even came to school for rehearsals on an Environmental Day Saturday when all other students were enjoying themselves at home. "

He further said: "I'm training my students to be able to take Nollywood by storm in the nearest future. We're not doing this just for the competitions or the prizes. It's for the personal development of the students who may eventually see something good in the skills they have been able to develop and make use of them to make money for themselves and help their families through their involvement in drama."

Two of the school's artistes: Hope Arasmude and Miracle Odoemelem, were adjudged two of the best actresses on the occasion and they are to go for further training and more competitions in the future.
