The Lagos state government has planned to conduct a screening examination for the newly promoted SSS 3 students throughout the state.

This exercise is not new in the state; the predecessors of the present SSS 3 students also faced this type of examination, which is mainly done to ascertain the ability of the students and their readiness for the final examination.

The proposed date for the 2014 screening examination would hold between Monday 1st and Friday 5th December, 2014.

Every student would do examination in the following areas, depending on the student's subject combinations.

General papers for all students: English Language, Biology and Mathematics.

Science Students: Physics and Chemistry
Arts Students:  Government and Literature-In-English
Commercial Students: Accounts and Economics

I pray that every student that take part in the examination will come out in flying colours.

Extra Afternoon Lessons Have Begun

The school, in accordance with the instructions from the Ministry of Education as transmitted through  Education District III, has commenced extra afternoon lessons for the students in SSS 3 classes from October 13th, 2014.

The extra lessons are planned to assist the the students in their preparations for the school certificate examinations in order to maintain the excellent performance of the Lagos State students.

Teachers are dedicated to the extra lessons, not only because they would be paid monthly directly by the school, but because it would afford them the opportunity to be able to finish their syllabuses as the normal class periods have been realized not to be enough for the coverage of the syllabuses for the students in SSS 3 classes.

At the inaugural lesson, the Vice Principal (Academic), Mr. S. O. Kazeem, made the students to realize the heavy cost the state was incurring in order for them to benefit from its free education policy.

He then urged them to be up and doing in their academic works in order to be worthy ambassadors of the school, their families and the state in general.
